Bio: Steve’s passion for photography began when he failed his Chemistry class. Luckily his father was a photography teacher at BYU so he quickly transferred. He and his wife, Elaine, opened Barrus Photography in March 1985 and watched it quickly grow to the success it is today. He loves being a photographer because he gets to use his creativity to be a part of peoples happy events. He is great at getting people to relax and show off their best smiles.

Bio: When Elaine married Steve she encouraged him to start his own Photography Studio, and has been the brains and main encouraging force behind the business ever since. She has always been very good at drawing, math and all things organizational. She loves learning new things especially computer related things like Photoshop. She absolutely loves meeting new people and can get them to open up to her like nobody else!

Bio: Jenny practically grew up at Barrus Photography, but didn’t know she wanted to be a photographer until after she had gotten married and moved away to Mexico when it became apparent how very good she had it at Barrus and begged to come back. She has been taking pictures ever since and is loving every minute of it. She is particularly fond of photographing Newborns, children and extended families where she can put her crazy silliness to good use. She has a natural talent for design and really loves putting together digital albums and advertisements.
